I’m so delighted with this “Phantasm of Life “ tarot deck. The artwork is like a mix between 1920s-30s fashion illustration art, a touch of anime, in beautiful mostly pastel colors in a Louis XIV style “framing” on each card. These linen finish cards are a wonderful weight, but still have a thick papery feel, not slippery. The cards are edged in silver holographic gilding . The box is solid, with a magnetic closure. The LWB is in Chinese and English. All of that is wonderful quality, but it is artwork which is unique and outstanding. Each suit has a different palette of shade combinations, but they all work together. The characters are mostly childlike or young, with many images of toys, games, and activities which is entirely charming, and gives it a bit of a traditional Winter holiday feeling as well.
Absolute stunner of a tarot deck. From the iridescent glided edges to the gold stamping on the front and backs of these cards, they’re an absolute show stopper. Not to mention the crisp, expressive art. I’m elated with my purchase! :D the shipping was speedy and my order was packed very well. I’m over the moon and I WILL be shopping with Vermilion Collection again soon. <3
super readable and gorgeous art! the guidebook doesn’t give a lot of explanation for each card (a sentence or two), but the few blurbs that are given give some thoughtful interpretations. the images are intuitive too so i find that i don’t need explanations as much. easy to riffle shuffle and any gilding has yet to peel.

I’m really enjoying this deck. The art is gorgeous and the linen finish makes the cards feel comfortable in my hands. At first they seemed a little too delicate to use and I worried I would break them, but after using them a few times I have become more comfortable with them.
This deck is beautiful. The art has a nostalgic vibe, the details on the cards are immaculate and the matte linen card stack makes shuffling easy and very enjoyable. All in all, working with this deck is very pleasant. I am thoroughly satisfied with the purchase.
