Knight of Cups
Element: Water + Fire
The design of the Knight of Cups is inspired by the Russian painting The Horsewoman by Karl Bryullov, created in 1832 and currently housed in the Tretyakov Gallery, Moscow.
This is the only female knight in this deck, once again showcasing the power of women. In the painting, the female knight wears an elegant dress, yet calmly controls a powerful brown horse—creating a striking contrast.
The Knight of Cups is a naturally gentle and romantic poet, as well as a dreamer brimming with creativity. This card brings invitations and opportunities, including visits from friends, invitations to events, chances for social interaction or romance. It may also signify travel—especially to places near water or in humid climates.
