Three of Swords

What breaks is not only the vase, and what falls to the ground is not only the rose. Something you once cared for with sincerity has been struck, and such an impact forces you to confront yourself. You cannot predict what it will bring, and the process is often unbearable.
The water spilling from the vase represents emotional collapse and a shaken state of mind. The rose has fallen but remains mostly intact, not scattered everywhere. However, the vase—the layer of protection—has shattered. If you act in time, there is still a chance to save the rose and continue caring for it.

UPRIGHT

Holding grudges, settling scores, unable to move past the shadow, loss, growing dissatisfaction, repeated hurt, conflict, hard to accept, tears, emotional impact, pain.

REVERSED

Gradual healing, struggling through it, trying to save what remains, facing the issue, the inner core still intact, separation, self protection, settling and closure.
