Golden Planet
This card was born from the author's reflection on life and death after the loss of a loved one. It embodies the tender yet enduring bonds of family, which transcend one's physical experience and remain unbroken by time or distance. It's also a gentle reminder to cherish those we love and the moments we share.
- A mother's embrace: unconditional love and protection.
- "Stars"(golden planets): children – each unique yet tied to their mother, reflecting the coexistence of individuality and unity within a family.
- Pink coffin: life's transience and the beauty that lives on through memory and legacy.
- Greenery & butterflies: hope, renewal & the soul's journey beyond this life.
- Tears, candles & heart-shaped ribbon:expression of grief, the passage of time & the guiding light of love that keeps warm memories alive.
Achi: "This card was inspired by the passing of my grandmother and the grand soul-sending rituals held at her funeral. One ritual involved lighting a massive soul lamp and casting it into the flames. As the fire blazed toward the sky, I felt as if her soul was joining the stars above.
Later, I thought about the connection between stars and souls. There are roughly 100 billion stars in the Milky Way galaxy and about 100 billion people who have walked the Earth. To me, this poetic parallel suggests that every person who has passed becomes a star in the vast universe, shining down upon us, illuminating our lives."
*** In its upright position, this card means guardianship and cherishment. It's not intended to be read in reverse. ***
