The Chariot

It’s raining. The world is drenched in a blurry twilight, the silence broken only by the hues of black, white, and gray. Only a bright yellow raincoat moves — a girl running, accompanied by two galloping horses. But the shadows remain frozen, even the shadows of the horses. The girl doesn’t know why she runs, but she cannot stop.

The Chariot card depicts a person struggling to maintain a perfect appearance, with all shadows suppressed. The expectations of the world and inner unease push her to wear the mask of progress — and over time, removing that mask becomes a source of fear. This contradiction may never truly dissolve but is instead subdued by the Chariot’s immense willpower. When the card appears reversed, the reins of will break, and her coldness and aggression may wound others.

The Chariot represents determination, control, and the drive to move forward despite inner conflict. It calls for balance between ambition and emotional honesty.
