The Star

Element: Air
The Star card comes after the devastation of the Tower. It represents healing, serenity, and a renewed sense of hope for the future. This design retains the style of the original Rider-Waite deck. In this version, our divine cat muse takes the form of a "mermaid-snake," gazing up at the starlit sky from beneath the sea. She sits peacefully in the pond, harmonizing with sea creatures around her. One hand gently touches the eight-pointed star, evoking the Chinese poet Li Bai’s line: “I reach for the stars with my hand,” followed by “but dare not speak loud for fear of startling heavenly beings.” The dreamy colors and glowing highlights give this card an ethereal, healing presence. The large eight-pointed star symbolizes stability and blessings, surrounded by seven smaller stars—known as the Star of Hope.
