The Hierophant first brings to mind religion, serving as a bridge between heaven and the human world. Therefore, you will see two followers beside him—one is an angel, and the other is a human. They are completely naked, offering themselves fully to the Hierophant, symbolizing their absolute obedience. The white dove next to the Hierophant represents the beauty and peace of the human world under his guidance. The Hierophant leads the growth of our soul while establishing rules we need to follow. From the card’s polarity, this can also turn into bondage, limitation, rigidity, and excessive dogmatism. Thus, you will see that one of the followers is bound and blindfolded.
