At first glance, the ten swords seem to be ending the character's life, but upon closer inspection, only one sword is positioned to be fatal. However, the character appears to be unwilling to face it, or perhaps forced not to look? The bandage on the chest seems to suggest that he was already injured, so was this fatal blow accidental?
