The Lovers card represents a romantic relationship where two individuals are mutually attracted to each other and enjoy a comfortable and harmonious connection. Considering that The Fool is a seed taking the first steps on the journey, the partner in The Lovers card is portrayed as a pure and innocent representation. A young girl is designed using the image of the white moth from The High Priestess.
In terms of the design, the back-to-back posture is used to mimic the feeling of two magnets being attracted to each other, creating an effect of a close relationship between the two.
The Lovers were originally an apprentice of The High Priestess, and after learning about The Fool's journey, she was specially arranged to guide him.
