The Empress

Dish: Buddha Jumps Over the Wall

In my imagination, nothing but "Buddha Jumps Over the Wall" can represent The Empress. Her plumpness, abundance, and her reign over order and beauty—nourishing and gestating the potential of all things—are all in this bowl of precious, nutritious food. Also, when the name is linked with The Empress, it makes me think of the Queen of the Women's Kingdom and Tang Sanzang—was there a moment he wanted to "jump" back into the secular world?
