16. The Tower
Upright
Lightning strikes the tall tower, and the beagle lets out a dramatic howl! The tower collapses under the thunderbolt, and the beagle and its crown fall from the top—everything has drastically changed. The Tower card symbolizes sudden change, collapse, destruction, hardship, and awakening, but also carries purifying energy. When upright, it foretells that something major and unexpected is about to shake up your life in a profound way.
Reversed
When the Tower appears reversed, it may suggest that you’re trying to resist or avoid a sudden, disruptive change—or that such a change is already happening internally but hasn’t yet manifested outwardly. It can also mean you've already been through a major life storm, and now you're entering a period of rebuilding and recovery.
