9. The Hermit

Upright

The beagle who becomes a Hermit is no longer the wild troublemaker of the past—this steadier beagle has gained wisdom and caution. When the Hermit appears upright, it represents maturity, wisdom, and a deep understanding of what truly matters in life. This may indicate a need for solitude, to explore your inner self and seek out life’s meaning and direction. The upright Hermit encourages you to look inward for wisdom and guidance, perhaps through meditation, study, or deep reflection.

Reversed

The reversed Hermit warns that you may be too caught up in your inner world, neglecting external connections and potential guidance. While solitude and reflection are vital parts of growth, isolating yourself completely can lead to loneliness and missed opportunities. The reversed Hermit reminds you not to shut yourself off from others, as doing so may cause you to miss out on the understanding and chances they can offer.
