4. The Emperor
Upright
As a working-line beagle, one must possess unyielding determination and a spirit that refuses to give up. Yet at the same time, authority, structure, control, and stability are hard to come by. When the Emperor appears upright, it emphasizes leadership, authority, and the ability to achieve goals through organization and control. It may also serve as a reminder to establish manageable plans and rules to ensure things progress in an orderly manner.
Reversed
The reversed Emperor may point to abuse of authority, excessive control, or a lack of flexibility. When this card appears reversed, it warns of becoming rigid, acting unilaterally, or relying too heavily on external power while ignoring how to resolve issues or consider others’ feelings. After all, who would enjoy a beagle that’s overly bossy and domineering?
