Tao Hu Shan Ren is a Beijing-based illustrator and writer focused on folk culture. She designed the official mascot of the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macau Bridge and a stamp series on the Beijing folk deity Tu'er Ye, and has worked on many intangible cultural heritage (ICH) projects that help ICH masters bring their crafts to younger audiences.

A longtime tarot practitioner, she also studies traditional Chinese mysticism, including shamanism, Buddhism, and Daoism.
