The Hanged Man

Astrology: Neptune | Element: Water | Hebrew: מ (Mem) | Kabbalah: 23. Mem 【Severity - Glory】

Deep within the swamp stands this statue of a god. He was once firmly rooted on the ground, until a seed beneath his feet sprouted, slowly pushing him over. Vines grew from within his chest, suspending him upside down, gradually lifting him into the air. Still, his hands remain folded over his chest, unmoving, as if being inverted were the correct angle to converse with the divine. Thorns grow from the places where he is broken, and within them, a new life seems to be born. Brilliant wings slowly unfurl beneath him. Most moving of all is the glowing soul in the pool below. Xiao Ye gently touches the trembling of the newborn wings with his fingertips, as if instructing the sleeping statue: “Only by acknowledging your own life can you gain true freedom in this world.” “I thank the thorns for teaching me how to bend; I thank the inversion for letting me see that clouds are flowers blooming in the sky from the earth.”

Personality: Compliant, optimistic, far-sighted, self-sacrificing, able to find joy in hardship, calm and introspective, deep-thinking and insightful, able to view issues from multiple angles. Sometimes prone to procrastination. Representative figures: Odin, Prometheus, recluses in contemplation, sailors.

Relationships: Do not deliberately pursue love; settle yourself and wait for the right person to appear. Differences in viewpoints require role reversal and understanding. Devotional love, little progress, stagnation.

Career/Studies: Facing challenges, stagnation, or lack of visible progress. Slow pace, limited development. There may be sacrifices of mental state and energy; timely adjustment is needed to avoid overexertion.

Finances: Major financial challenges, low investment returns, frozen funds, delayed payments. Not suitable for shopping. Spending to avert misfortune, little savings.

Advice: Change your perspective and accept the present situation. Let time pass. Calmly reflect on your circumstances and issues. Stay flexible and accept change rather than resist it. When you decide to shift from one phase or state to another, more possibilities will open.

Finances: Many risks and crises, reckless spending, blind investment. Do not initiate new investments or purchases. Self-centeredness, emotional consumption.

Advice: Break free from the current predicament and unhealthy mindset—seek change. Many issues require timely loss-cutting. Excessive giving leads to severe physical and mental depletion. Beneath the beautiful wings, the statue is already filled with vines; its strength can no longer sustain suspension. Falling into the water may also be a valid choice.
