King of Pentacles
Golden waves of wheat sway in the wind, carrying the scent of ripeness and harvest. Beneath the blue sky, a scarecrow stands guard over the field. A small bird perches on its shoulder, perhaps resting, perhaps sharing a message. The scarecrow cannot respond — it can only offer a quiet smile. Today, no intruders have stepped into this golden land.
Like the Queen of Pentacles, the King safeguards what he has, but he is far less approachable. The Queen protects what she can physically hold or nurture, while the King must protect an entire field — everything he has earned — from outside threats, while also comparing himself with others’ achievements. The wheat field symbolizes all he owns and has worked for.
He rarely shares his harvest freely; only those he truly values may be allowed a small portion.
