The Moon

“Flowers in a mirror, moon in the water.” When night falls, many issues that were once clear begin to distort and blur, taking on an inexplicable filter. The Moon reflects the light of the Sun, and in the night we sense the hidden sides that were concealed. Yet the beauty of the night sky always soothes the heart.

The Moon fully displays its Piscean nature: sensitive, filtered, bound tightly to inner security and trust. The small puddle here is fragile; even someone running past might disturb it. The trees and clouds partially block it, representing mystery and the parts one does not want others to see. Reflected within it are the waxing moon, full moon, and waning moon, calling to mind the High Priestess in the original Waite deck. Different phases of the Moon mirror changing feelings and states of mind. There is only one Moon, but the water shows multiple reflections, relating to a sense of unreality.

UPRIGHT

Intuition is accurate at this time, but sensitivity increases and you may be easily hurt by others without intention. You can effortlessly pick up the surrounding atmosphere and may find yourself talking about mysticism or philosophy. In relationships, the upright Moon shows a sense of security despite occasional emotional turbulence, though some feelings or secrets may still be hidden from the other person.
Keywords: Inspiration, randomness, intuition, mystery, imagination, karma, gentle care, emotional sensitivity, caring about the process, secrets, uncertainty.

REVERSED

In relationships or social interactions, one person may have already discovered clues that something is wrong. Even with evidence, there is still struggle. If the comfort and emotional fulfillment of the upright Moon was once experienced, the reversed Moon causes trust to collapse. This is a time for self-adjustment, and it is best not to make decisions immediately, as regret is likely.
Keywords: Seeing the other side, accepting pain, turmoil, gynecological issues, distrust, fear, rejecting intuition, poor emotional state, crisis awareness.
