The Lovers
Two butterflies rest on your hand as they look at each other. One lowers its head while the other reaches upward. The lilies behind them symbolize purity and seem to bless their bond. Only the observer knows the “imbalance” between them, yet this “imbalance” helps them better understand and accept one another.
Although it appears to be a mutual choice, in truth one side chooses to accept the other. Every relationship requires acceptance and tolerance. The higher-positioned one will not always remain in that position, and the lower-positioned one will not always stay low, for everyone has strengths and weaknesses. It is their “spiritual interplay” and the balance formed through “mutual compatibility” that build lovers or any kind of relationship. Flowers are the reproductive organs of plants and attract insects for pollination, symbolizing external influences of attraction and temptation.
UPRIGHT
The upright Lovers is an excellent sign for negotiation and communication. Commitments may be made, and both sides are willing to connect with each other. During this time, you can fully display your charm and will be appreciated by others. Sometimes it represents pure and impulsive emotions or the beginning of a relationship.
Keywords: Adjusting relationships, communication, decision-making, higher-positioned person leads, temptation, long-term bonds, agreements, harmony, compatibility, interpersonal connections.
REVERSED
Positions shift or the nature of the relationship changes. What was once a balanced connection turns into one-sided dominance. Communication becomes difficult, previous issues remain unresolved, and although both are capable of understanding each other, they refuse to see things from the other’s perspective.
Keywords: Reversal, excess, ineffective communication, destructive issues, major problems, inability to express, misunderstandings, unhealthy dynamics, push and pull, ambiguous distance.
