The Emperor

A warm fireplace envelopes the entire room, the air carrying the scent of cigars. The nearby whiskey glass and the soft single sofa suggest he is enjoying a moment of relaxation. His rich social experience has earned him his current power and position, and his satisfaction with the present makes him appear somewhat leisurely.

If the Empress is the support of nature, then the Emperor is the support of society. The red tones of the room and the ram’s head symbolize strength and aggression, while the plant beside him represents his emotional side. The single sofa tells you there is no place for anyone else here. He may not need to handle most tasks personally because others will carry them out for him. He only needs to give the order. Yet in ancient societies, an emperor was not truly free. He had to accept strict regulations, bound by dense layers of rules like a spiderweb and tied to the interests of the people. Otherwise, he would face severe punishment, possibly death or removal from power. Many events may not have been what he truly desired. Here, I only depict the interior of a room, and the space left for him is not as vast as in the Empress card.

UPRIGHT

He serves as a figure of authority in a particular field and may already be accustomed to this identity. He carries many responsibilities, or at least appears to, and usually does not consider other people’s opinions, relying instead on his own experience. Communicating with him often comes with a clear sense of hierarchy.
Keywords: Career, stability, desire for control, patriarchal structure, pioneering new ventures, confidence, authority, social influence, experience, many rules, strong boundaries.

REVERSED

Imagining him through a negative or positive lens, he may become either a foolish ruler or overly benevolent. Or he may simply abandon his position for a time to be himself, becoming freer and more relaxed. However, he cannot truly leave everything behind and will eventually return to his original role.
Keywords: Inner conflict, temporary withdrawal, emotional wavering, strong control, tension, disappointment, excessive confinement, avoidance, unwillingness to take responsibility.
