Two of Wands
Suspended in midair, two thick vines resemble celestial ladders connecting the vast heavens and earth. A courageous adventurer climbs one of the slightly thinner vines, striving toward a higher, more distant goal. He has already left behind the gemstone-like glow of the land below—perhaps symbolic of everything he once owned or knew. Yet he is unsatisfied. He longs for greater views and grander achievements. His climb is long and arduous, filled with challenges and uncertainty with each step away from solid ground.
White birds circle above him, like onlookers. They may be cheering him on, offering motivation to continue upward—or perhaps mocking his obsession with the unknown, trying to shake his resolve. But no matter what, they cannot stop his climb. Sharp golden light falls on the climber, making him shine with brilliance. This glow feels like a trial, yet also a symbol of hope—a recognition and reward for his courage and effort. Even in the midst of hardship, the climber radiates a unique charm.
My interpretation of the Two of Wands is this: on the journey of life, the vines represent the path of existence, and the climber is ourselves. Along the way, we face many choices and challenges. Sometimes, we must step outside our comfort zones and venture into the unknown. Encouragement, competition, doubt, and ridicule may all appear—but we only need to follow the true desires of our heart, hold firm in our belief, and persist in our pursuit of change and exploration. This is how we craft a legendary journey of our own.
