The Moon

Astrology: Pisces | Element: Water | Hebrew: ק (Qoph) | Kabbalah: 29. Qoph 【Victory - Kingdom】

At this stop of the journey, following starlight, a moon lies quietly reflected on the water’s surface. Jellyfish and swimming fish seem to want this moon too, inching closer and closer to the full moon. Suddenly, a pair of struggling hands breaks the full moon apart. As moonlight falls into the water, it shatters into tens of thousands of possibilities, as if all answers have long been hidden within the folds deep beneath the rippling glow. The water is gentle and still. The subconscious and the inner self seem to be confiding in you: explore into the deepest part of the heart. There are many strange and dazzling things there. This moon is not the real moon either—it is a reflection, and it is also an obsession.

Symbolism:

Moon: Intuition, ominousness, fear, a symbol of higher consciousness and spiritual wisdom.

Water Surface: Between day and night—both the water’s surface and the sky that carries the moon. A vessel of truth and illusion, also representing the subconscious and emotions.

Hands: Defensive struggle for self-control. At this moment, survival instinct and the desire to obtain the moon outweigh reason—wildness outweighs humanity.

Jellyfish: The most primal inner fear, the road of exploring the unknown—wanting the moon yet unwilling to face it and fight for it, instead circling and drifting.

Fragments Beside the Hands: A second mirror surface that might have formed, shattered by fearful hands, completely losing the chance to reflect the moon.

Moon Symbol on the Fingernails: Represents conscious awareness—the innate “moon” of the id is forgotten at this moment.

Zodiac Symbol in the Water: Represents Pisces.

Kabbalistic Path 29: The back of the head—subconsciousness, dreams, and fear.

Upright:

Illusion, nightmare-like disturbance, unease, fear, mystery, danger, hidden enemies, inner secrets, negative emotions, confusion about the future, misunderstanding and deception, timidity, undercurrents surging.

Personality: Sensitive, suspicious, prone to doubt, mysterious and complex, highly changeable, easily dissatisfied. Representative figures include makeup artists, swindlers, business consultants, and similar roles.

Relationships: Love triangles, frightening relationships, emotional states in flux, many unknown influences, deception, concealment, ambiguous entanglements, bad romantic prospects, on-and-off dynamics, lies within relationships.

Career/Studies: Potential crises, immense workplace pressure, treacherous interpersonal dynamics, lack of mutual trust. The work itself carries high risk and uncertainty. Prevent yourself from being negatively affected and making wrong judgments.

Finances: Poor money luck. Superficially there may seem to be gains, but a major financial crisis may be hidden. Not suitable for any investment, nor any purchasing. Unstable finances—evaluate your financial state realistically and uncover potential problems.

Advice: Actively explore your inner world. Do not be deceived by appearances. Trust your intuition, but verify with reality. You already know the moon before you is not the real moon—no matter how beautiful, do not sink into it.

Reversed:

A sliver of hope, mistakes, surfacing, deception, suppression, exposure, gaining strength from the current predicament, avoiding problems, self-deception, needing proper rest.

Personality: Anxious, easily tense, finds it hard to trust others, full of inner emotions, lacks a sense of security, poor at social dealing, says one thing and means another, sensitive.

Relationships: Mutual dissatisfaction, quarrels, emotionality, deception, misunderstandings, lack of security, ignoring feelings, easy self-deception in love, inner drain and anxiety, inability to see the real problem clearly.

Career/Studies: Prone to mistakes, instability, hidden issues, being deceived. Calm on the surface but undercurrents in relationships. Fear of exams or project reviews, low performance, scattered attention.

Finances: Not suitable for investment or financial management. Beware of scams—scams can be seen through. Hidden instability can be discovered and adjusted in time. Spend rationally and save conservatively; also not suitable for shopping.

Advice: Face your fears directly and learn to accept your current situation. Even if you fall into the water by accident, frantic struggling is not as good as trying to accept the water’s gentleness. Struggling shatters the stillness, while calm coexistence preserves the moon. Turn your problems and thoughts into action. Listen to your inner intuition and feelings, learn to meditate, and try to understand—this is the first step to dissolving fear and resolving problems.
