XIV. Temperance
Reversed: lack of moderation, irregular lifestyle, emotional collapse, anxiety, preachiness, discord, dissatisfaction from all sides.
As night falls, she leans sideways in a crescent-shaped pool built of green stone, her eyes gently closed. Her wounded heart and body find healing in this moment. With her fingertips, she touches the water in her cup — under her spell, the flowing water constantly shifts and circulates. It is a dynamic form of release, a purification and elevation of the spirit, and also a path of inner cultivation.
The Temperance card represents self-healing and spiritual discipline. It reminds us that with patience and persistent effort, things will gradually improve. Temperance embodies the ancient principle of moderation — avoiding both excess and deficiency. This harmony is not born of suppression, but of natural balance. It signifies self-purification, spiritual elevation, and the pursuit of a higher, more harmonious state of being.
