The Empress

She stretches out lazily, reclining in a massive bird’s nest. Robins and rosemary surround her. She is the Empress, embodiment of abundance. She wears a gown woven of silk — soft and precious, yet it naturally drapes, interlacing with the grass and leaves of the nest. Her breath moves in rhythm with the earth, and with each rise and fall, the vitality around her grows more exuberant. She need not assert herself — her mere existence is a celebration.

She dwells wherever there are comfort and abundance, whether in the silken couches of the material world or in orchards heavy with fruit. The robin symbolizes happiness and hope; rosemary is Venus’s blessing of love and beauty. These small details tell the same story: life itself deserves joy, and self-love is an innate right of all beings. Reversed, the Empress may bring feelings of exhaustion and depletion, calling for nourishment from others, or she may become overly indulgent, sinking into luxury and pleasure.

The Empress represents nurturing, creation, and the beauty of abundance. She encourages self-love, generosity, and harmony with nature.
