Page of Swords
Element: Air
The Page of Swords draws inspiration from the painting Boy with a Sword by Édouard Manet, a foundational figure of 19th-century Impressionism. Painted in 1861, it portrays Manet’s stepson, Léon, dressed in Spanish court attire and holding a long sword. The original is now housed in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. The Page of Swords is the quickest-witted among the Pages, and also the most talkative. Curious and clever, this Page is full of ideas, though not always of action.
