Two of Wands

Element: Fire
The design of the Two of Wands draws inspiration from “Columbus discovering the New World.” Columbus, an Italian navigator and explorer, was a key figure of the Age of Discovery, famously crossing the Atlantic four times and discovering the Americas. Here, the divine cat Bart holds a globe in his hand, contemplating his next voyage—while the New World is already just within reach. He is both adventurous and courageous. As a strategist, he relies on nautical charts and a telescope, constantly marking his journey and planning his future route after careful assessment.
In the original Rider–Waite depiction, the nobleman has already achieved some success, yet remains ambitious, full of dreams and intentions for the future. At this moment, he must decide on his motivation and direction and determine what his next step will be.
