The Fool

Breaking the traditional image of the Fool standing at the edge of a cliff, this design boldly expands the imagination. The Fool wears gorgeous clothing and carries a bundle, which contains a doll symbolizing a childlike innocence and purity of heart. The colorful sunlight bathes the land, making everything bright and beautiful. At this moment, the Fool has long forgotten the cliff ahead and fearlessly stands on the clouds. The white snake in the tree, representing animal instincts, seems to warn of the dangers ahead. Hearing a call, the Fool holds an apple and turns to feed the snake. Taking one more step forward would allow him to safely return to solid ground. The apple tree and snake can also be imagined as the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil in Eden, suggesting that the Fool, under the snake’s temptation, might have picked the apple and lost himself, heading toward the cliff. Alternatively, this entire story might be nothing more than a bubble-like illusion born from the Fool’s own imagination.
