Medieval Secrets Tarot – Death

Medieval Secrets Tarot

13. Death

The Silent Reaper · Mortis · The Eternal Cornerstone

Keywords: End / Rebirth / Accept

Card Meaning

The Silent Reaper speaks of ending and rebirth, irresistible transformation, and life blossoming out of decay. It is a point every cycle of life must pass through — not the end of everything, but the passing of an old form to make room for a new one.

Death is not the enemy; it is the most faithful of gardeners. It takes only what should be taken, and makes room for what should grow.

Upright

  • Essence: Every ending is a new birth. What must go cannot be kept, and what must come cannot be stopped.
  • Love: Let go of the past so someone new can come in — end it completely, and be completely reborn.
  • Career: Cutting your losses in time takes more courage than blindly hanging on.
  • Money & Social Life: Clear out the old to welcome in the new; when a relationship is dead, don’t carry it in your heart.
  • Study: Tear down the old framework so new knowledge can take root.

Reversed

  • Core Issue: Resistance and rigidity; afraid to let go.
  • Love: A rotten relationship still gasping for breath, yet you refuse to be the first to let go.
  • Career: Dragging things out until you’re drained, numbing yourself with “just wait a little longer.”
  • Money & Social Life: Sinking deeper and deeper, afraid to walk away from people who drain you.
  • Study: Clinging stubbornly to old knowledge, unwilling to tear it down and start again.
