Two of Swords
The cat bites down on the fish bone, seemingly unwilling to let go. Yet hanging on like this is not the same as keeping it—it’s become stuck between the two choices. With its head held high, the cat hasn’t taken the next step forward. This hesitation might mean it’s considering whether to release the bone and come back later to secure it again. If it does let go, it risks losing it altogether; if it keeps holding on, it may never move forward. The duck, meanwhile, stands aside watching, unsure whether to help or wait.
