Strange Plant Compendium

Bouncing Mushroom:
The caps of bouncing mushrooms are unusually thick and elastic, stepping on them feels like bouncing on a spring. They usually grow between trees, offering explorers convenient jump points to move more freely through the forest. At the same time, they attach their spores to travelers, spreading them to distant places.

Thorn Serpent (Mushroom):
The Thorn Serpent is a peculiar parasitic plant with a slender body covered in sharp thorns. It often uses mushrooms as its host, coiling itself inside them. Concealed by the mushrooms, it creeps closer to fungal trees, making it the greatest threat to the ecology of the mushroom forest.

Bigfoot Hound:
The paws of the Bigfoot Hound are well-suited for leaping among bouncing mushrooms. Its sense of smell is also very keen, allowing it to easily detect where Thorn Serpents hide. To travel swiftly through the mushroom forest, following a Bigfoot Hound makes the journey much easier.

Wizard-Hat Fungal Tree:
The crown of the fungal tree bends wide like a wizard’s hat. This crown may act as a natural energy receiver (similar to photosynthesis with chlorophyll), absorbing the essence of the sun and moon and transforming it into energy that flows downward as enveloping mycelium.

The mycelium is an important food source in this forest—sweet, soft, and dense. It not only provides nourishment for other flora and fauna, but also lures large numbers of Thorn Serpents toward it.
