The Fool takes on the role of The Magician and steps onto the stage, earning thunderous applause. The Magician dazzles with ever-changing tricks, and the Fool feels proud of its newfound power. But the Queen and King are not amused. They recognize the Magician's greed—desiring the wand, the cup, the sword, and the pentacle alike. This Magician is dangerous, yet remains unaware of it. The very abilities it wields allow it to weave illusions. But what is the hand behind the curtain really planning? The Queen and King issue a decree on the spot: the Magician’s hands must be severed. As the curtain falls, the Magician loses both hands, and all its authority vanishes.
