Page of Wands
Dish: Fried Skewers
A white-topped, yellow-edged tent by a desert windbreak forms a temporary base. In the foreground, fried skewers, dry seasonings, and an enamel mug form a complete chain of "material—heating—forming," while a black lizard on the mug marks the high temperature, dryness, and strong masculine conditions of the environment. These elements together form the structure of the Page of Wands as "Earth of Fire"—the initial landing of the fire's will. Fire represents impulse, beginning, and direction; Earth represents executable methods, touchable materials, and actual carriers. The process of making fried skewers starts with high heat, based on raw materials, and through constant flipping and heat control, the initial idea quickly becomes a judgeable result. The tent provides a short-term post, indicating the plan is in a trial stage but has a basic structure. The dry seasonings are spread out, suggesting resources are ready; the key now is how to test, adjust, and re-test. The changing wind direction in the desert makes the environment unstable, consistent with the Page's state: a clear start, but the direction needs to be corrected in continuous practice.
