Card Meaning

The Cup of Weariness speaks of the numbness of not knowing how blessed you are, indifference to the gifts already in hand, and the emptiness that follows an inner retreat. It is a moment when emotional energy sinks into stagnation and reflection: you have emotional resources enough, yet for some reason you have lost the ability to feel joy. Sitting beneath the tree, you look straight past the three cups before you, unaware that from the clouds a new gift is being held out to you. The problem is not having too little — it is being unable to feel what you already have.

Sometimes what you need is not more gifts, but a new way of seeing what you already have.
